The universe hosting group is responsible for all content published on it’s server, with the exception of personal webpages and blogs, where the responsibility lies with each individual author. UHG does not censor blogs on its server and thus, if you feel that the material is unappropriate or offensive, we ask you to either make a comment to the author or simply not read the blog. We are however, responsible for making all material comply with national (Norwegian) and international law. We do not accept responsibility for content accessed when clicking on links leading to external sites, wether an affiliate the UHG or not.

You may freely link to UHG sites or any material on our sites, as long as it is clearly stated that people are accessing a UHG site or document. Failure to do so may result in legal actions beeing taken against you with the result of liability to cover costs incurred.

The UHG is committed to protecting your privacy and will collect no personal information about you unless you choose to provide that information to us.

When you visit the UHG sites to browse information it contains, you do so anonymously unless you choose to provide us information about yourself. If you do nothing during your visit but browse through the Web site-—reading pages, viewing photographs, or downloading information for example—we will gather and store certain information about your visit automatically. This information does not identify you personally.

Information gathered automatically is used for, among other things, site management, compiling reports of usage statistics, and, in the case of suspected unauthorized activity, for law enforcement and possible criminal prosecution.

For site security purposes and to ensure that this Web site remains available to all users, UHG monitors network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information or to otherwise cause damage to the site. Anyone using this Web site expressly consents to such monitoring.

Unauthorized attempts to modify any information stored on this system, to defeat or circumvent security features, or to utilize this system for other than its intended purposes are prohibited and may result in criminal prosecution.

If monitoring reveals evidence of possible criminal activity, such evidence may be provided to law enforcement personnel. .technical requirements

This website is built in valid HTML using Adobe Dreamweaver 8. Photo editing is done using Adobe Photoshop CS2 and Microsoft Photo Center 10. The site is published using Core FTP on one.com webserver running a Linux operating system. The author wishes to express his thanks to all the people at HTMLforums.com for support and help with this ongoing project.

The site is built using validated HTML 4.01 Transitional and CSS as defined by the W3C consortium. Browser interopatibility is an important matter to the UHG, and the page has been thoroughly tested in MS Internet Explorer 6 and 7, Mozilla Firefox 3 and Opera 9.10 all running Microsoft Windows XP SP2 and Microsoft Vista SP1. It has also been tested in Mozilla Firefox and Safari browsers running Mac OS X with latest updates installed.

The site should be viewed on a system supporting a minimum resolution of 1024 x 768 pixels, although we recommend something higher for the page to display properly. Having Firefox ADblock plus activated creates problems with the galleries, so this should also be deactivated. Your browser should have cookies enabled and you must accept that ActiveX controls are installed for the page to display properly. The blog is maintained with the help of Wordpress software installed locally on the server, and supports RSS feeds if you should wish to subscribe to updates from the blog. An RSS feed solution for the rest of the site is under development.
