Hans Peter graduated from the Liverpool Institute of Performing arts with a Bachelor with honors in Theatre and Performance Design and Technology in 2008, and has since been working as a freelance lighting designer, programmer and technical manager for numerous TV shows, concerts, corporate events, dance performances and site specific performances all around Norway and Europe. Recent credits includes the Shanghai Inernational Dance Festival 2009, the 2008 Nobel Peace Prize concert (senior system technician), “Innenfor Bortenfor” – a site specific project inside a mine and several major music festivals in the summer of 2009. He has also designed major events such as the Norwegian IT summit, the ICCT conference on landmines and “Tryvann” May celebrations.

Hans Peter currently works full time as a lighting designer and project manager for Norways largest rental company, AVAB CAC. He has also provided consulting and technical help to many end users and public departments through his own consulting company; masterfade group. He has provided crew management and rigging solutions to numerous tours, one off events and festivals for several years, drawing on the skills of the people he worked with way back in Trondheim when they were still at school.

He is the co-founder and lead concept artist (together with Georg Spindler, Ba(Hons)) of empty room studios, an international design studio that delivers performance and visual design through a broad range of medias.

In his sparetime, he likes photography, cooking, movies and the enjoyment of excellent red wine and chocolate. You can find him on Facebook, on twitter as "trollmannen" and on his personal website at www.hpjenssen.com/hp. He also contributes to the BrookfieldLodge blog at brookfieeldlodge.org.
